NPA congratulates Dr Mogo
The Executive Director, Marine and Operations, of the Nigerian Ports Authority NPA), Hon. Onari Brown has congratulated Dr Mrs Felicia Mogo, the immediate past director of the Marine Environment Management Department of the Nigerian Maritime Administration & Safety Agency (NIMASA) on her retirement from Public Service.
Contained in a goodwill message delivered on his behalf by Mrs Khadijat Shaibu Shedu who represented him at the retirement ceremony and launch of a book on Regulating the Marine Environment in Nigeria written by Dr Mogo, the Hon. Onari Brown described her as one of the very few female marine environmentalist whose contributions are recognised by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) .
“I congratulate Dr Felicia Chinwe Mogo on her formal exit from the public sector of Nigeria, NIMASA to be precise and her book launch.
“I met her two years ago and together we have worked seamlessly. I have learnt a lot from her wealth of knowledge and her doggedness.
“An internationally recognised marine environmentalist, she is one of the few black women highly recognised by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), along with the likes of my able Managing Director, Hajia Hadiza Bala-Usman. “
Wishing Dr Mogo the best, Shedu said the marine environment department of the NPA was certain that the “new phase of her life will be more results oriented than the former.”
